Join us to explore the principles of forest school and nature-based learning as a vital process for deep, meaningful education and nature connection. Discussion will feature an introduction to new and established programs in New York state, and opportunities to meet educators working in some these programs. Hands-on activities provide an engaging way to learn more about forest school approaches in the U.S. and earlier roots in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe. Research and resources will also be shared throughout.
The Forest Schools Workshop is included in general Aleegany Nature Pilgrimage (ANP) registration; you may select one or multiple days if you'd like to participate in the larger ANP experience.
Email the organizer, Megan Mills Hoffman, with questions or to register.
