The nature-based education movement is redefining what learning looks like at school and childcare settings. ERAFANS provides stellar nature-based training to educators and childcare providers to ensure that all children have safe, healthy, frequent, and meaningful opportunities for nature connection that support holistic development and well-being. But we can't do it alone - we need your support!
Your gift helps teachers (and children!) take learning outside. For example:
And finally, our dream training center.
We are activity working with partners to identify a forever home in Long Green Valley, in Baltimore County, MD. Our goal is to establish a nature-based teacher training center with model programs for the community, including a lab preK-12 forest school (see Notchcliff Nature Programs), inclusive nature play spaces, reforested and preserved land, native gardens, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) plots, programs for elders, nature retreat spaces, nature art studio, and more. This destination site will welcome teachers, families, and children to experience first hand what robust nature-based education programs can do. If this is a dream you would like to help us make a reality, let’s build a foundation together!
